BIOGRAPHY
Marina Pletikosa


    Marina Pletikosa (maiden name Matolić), was born in 1973. in Županja. She begins with music education in school of music «S.Albini» in Županja, and continues it in secondary school of music «F.Kuhač» in Osijek, in class of professor Damir Sekošan. From then she starts with a numerous public performances: Musical week, Musical spring.
    At the age of 17. she enrols into piano studies at Musical academy in Zagreb, and she graduates in class of prof. Jurica Murai. During the studies she performs in the Museum Mimara, Institute of music, Pianist festival, Zagreb, Music scene of the young, competition of Croatian radio «Radio podij», «E. Satie» festival in Trieste, Italy, and others.
    Besides the piano studies two years she was studying harpsichord playing in class of prof. Višnja Mažuran, and she started her involvement in chamber music and as piano accompanist. She enters into postgradute piano studies in 1995. in class of prof. Zvjezdana Bašić and she has completed it with the best grades acquiring the title Master of Musical art.
    Soon followed many recitals in Croatia: Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, Osijek, Đakovo, Županja, and numerous performances in chamber groups. She has participated at «D. Lukić» memorial, international musical tribune in Pula, won 2nd award at international competition of pianists in Rome in 1996, and also 2nd award at Radio podij competition in cooperation with a clarinet player Bruno Phillipp in 2000.
    She has participated at EPTA seminars in Dubrovnik in classes of professors Sebastian Benda, Walter Groppenberger, and Peter Donahoe. She is an associate of the summer singing/singers school in Rovinj, as well as, at seminars of professors Milan Turković, Guy Deplus , David Seidel, Ferdinand Radovan, Cynthia Hansell-Bakić.
    Currently, she is an employee of Music Academy in Zagreb and she is actively engaged in concert activities, both with singers and with brass instruments.
    She speaks english and german language. She is a member of EPTA, HDGU, HGZ. At the Music academy she works as art associate – piano accompanist - at first at singing department and from 1998. she works at the department for brass instruments players.
